Elizabeth approached Breakwater back in the Spring of 2011 expressing her interest in doing an IT apprenticeship. A few conversations and a meeting later and she joined us in August after we successfully helped her secure a place onto the courses she needed.
During the last 18 months Elizabeth has sat amongst our Engineers working as part of the team and with regular visits from her college tutor she has now completed both OCR Level 2 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence and the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals.
We have been pleased to offer a keen young person an opportunity to work and study with us and we’re delighted that Elizabeth is a qualified member of the team and now becomes part of the Service Desk as a Level 1. We’re confident that with further mentoring and experience she will continue to develop and progress with her chosen career in IT.
Elizabeth says ‘I have enjoyed doing an apprenticeship with Breakwater. I am looking forward to gaining further skills working as part of the Managed Services team.’
